Admission

The applicant must be a Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry-eligible before the program start date in September.

The applicant must have completed, or be currently enrolled in, a 24-month Radiologic Technology Program, at the minimum (60 semester credit hours or 84 quarter credit hours). Please note: This program is not available at the University of Kansas — visit the program's website for a list of schools for AART certification.

Prerequisite course work and minimum grade-point average requirements also apply. Prospective students should review the complete program eligibility requirements and application instructions on the program's website.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites are as follows (no exceptions are made):

  1. The applicant must have completed, or be currently enrolled in, a 24-month Radiologic Technology Program, at the minimum (60 semester credit hours or 84 quarter credit hours). Please note: This program is not available at the University of Kansas.
  2. The applicant must be a Registered Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.) or must be registry certified before the program start date in September.
  3. Post-secondary credit hours are required in the following courses:
  • English, speech, or composition
  • General physics or radiographic physics
  • Human anatomy and physiology
  • College algebra, statistics, or higher level math

The student must pass the X-ray registry before entrance into the ultrasound program.
