WGSS 575: Body, Self and Society (3 ) H
An intensive examination of the role of the human body in the creation of personal and social identities in the Western world. Students become acquainted with contemporary theories of embodiment and the senses as they are applied to a variety of historical themes, and develop research projects on a topic negotiated with the instructor.
