SOC 490: Internship in Sociology (3 ) S
The purpose of this course is to encourage students to think sociologically about social issues by working as volunteer interns for non-profit community or campus organizations. Enrollment must be approved by the departmental Undergraduate Studies Committee in the semester prior to participation in the internship. See the department's Director of Undergraduate Studies for guidelines. Not open to students who have completed SOC 590. Prerequisite: 21 credits in sociology with a 3.0 GPA and permission of the instructor and department. FLD
