PSYC 850: Assessment I: Foundations of Psychological Assessment (3 )
Introduction to the history, methods and theory underlying psychological assessment techniques and methods. Students learn to administer, score, and interpret mental status exams and intelligence tests for children, adolescents and adults. Structured diagnostic assessments are introduced and practiced. Psychological report writing is introduced and practiced. The psychometric theory underlying the construction and validation of personality assessment instruments is reviewed.
