LAA 450: Capstone Course in Latin American Studies (3 ) U
The interdisciplinary focus of this class allows students to connect what they have learned about major issues in the field of Latin American Studies with a thematic focus of the professor's choosing. By the end of the class and culminating their study of the field at KU, they will be able to discuss these issues from a variety of theoretical, methodological, and disciplinary perspectives as demonstrated in the portfolio of written work maintained throughout the semester. Prerequisite: Completion of 3 courses at the 300 level and above with Latin American content in the Humanities and 3 at the 300 level and above in the Social Sciences (that is, at least 18 credits toward the major); or permission of instructor.
