GEOG 538: Environmental Soil Physics and Chemistry (3 ) N
This course examines the physical and chemical properties of soils and methods of evaluation. Physical topics include the movement of water, heat, gases, and solutes through soil. Chemistry topics include solid and solution speciation, mineral solubility, ion exchange, and oxidation-reduction reactions in soils. (Same as EVRN 538.) Prerequisite: EVRN 335 or GEOG 335 or EVRN 535 or GEOG 535, and CHEM 135 or CHEM 195; or MATH 121 and PHSX 114 or consent of instructor. LEC
