ECON 586: Economic Issues in China (3 ) S
This course studies the Chinese economy, especially during the post-1979 reform period, and its relationship to the development of the Greater China Circle (China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan). Topics to be covered include economic development during the pre-1979 reform period, economic reform, and its impacts on China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and lessons from the Chinese economic reforms.
